TEMPS Non-Ambulatory Patient Handling System for Decontamination

Until now, non-ambulatory decon involved rolling patients through the decon shelter on heavy industrial rollers systems that require dozens of backboards, tore or poked holes in your shelter and are so heavy it takes an army to set up!

The TEMPS “Non-Ambulatory Decon System” consists of an easy to store and easy to develop folding track system and fold, stack and store gurneys consisting of patient shuttle frames and rolling chasses.

Using the TEMPS System the decontamination process for non-ambulatory patients is simple. The patient is brought to the decon shelter or open decon area on the TEMPS Decon gurney. The gurney is inter-locked and secured to the decon track system. The patient shuttle frame is released from the gurney’s rolling chassis and moves along the decon track to the wash-down area.

While decon is in progress the gurney’s rolling chassis is released from the tracks and reloaded with another patient shuttle frame to transport the next patient to the decon track.

During the decon wash-down, the patient is comfortable and secure on the patient shuttle frame. The shuttle frame actually gets decon’ed along with the patient! When the decon wash-down is complete the shuttle frame, with the patient onboard, proceeds to the end of the track and onto a waiting rolling chassis. The patient shuttle frame is locked onto the rolling chassis and gurney proceeds to triage or treatment area.

The TEMPS Non-Ambulatory Patient Handling System eliminates difficult and potentially dangerous patient transfers associated with the industrial roller systems.

The TEMPS decon Gurney assembles in a few minutes and is ready for use.

The TEMPS Non-Ambulatory decon system works with all decon shelters or open area decon systems and interfaces directly with your existing protocol.

The system employs fold, stack and store technology to minimize storage requirements. As an added bonus, when not being used for decon the patient gurneys double as extra E.D. beds for surge overflow or MCI situation.
